Common name: Red lily
Origin: West Africa.
Characteristics: Leaves are round and straight edged. Color of leaves and petioles is bright red with tiny, dark blood-red specks riddling the leaf surface. The bulb of this plant is longish and hairy, more tuber-like in appearance. This plant is very rare in the trade.
Lighting: Subdued lighting seems to bring out the best in this plant's color.
Care and reproduction: Similar to Tiger lotus, flowers even in the aquarium.
