Common name: Red African Tiger Lotus.
Origin: West Africa.
Characteristics: Has large broad leaves with wavy edges. Leaf color is primarily reddish with
dark purple blotches splattered all over the surface . Light intensity has been observed to influence the intensity of the red coloration in the leaves.
Temperature: 20-30 deg C.
Propagation: By means of bulbs and seeds .
Lighting: Moderately bright to bright.
Special notes: This plant has very delicate leaves that are susceptible to severe damage if kept in a
tank containing snails, water quality must be optimal; 30% weekly water change is recommended if the plant is to
thrive, under poor water quality the leaves disintegrate.
